Just got them home this weekend.

This one is full grown. Only 23inches to his shoulder.

This is their guardian. Doesn't she look dangerous....

You've done it now!  Here she comes!!!!!!!!

Anatolian/Pyrenees mix.   Was gonna get just a pure Anatolian but thier to damn mean.  So i know a breeder who swears by the mix, so heres hoping the thing isn't to mean when it gets to be 120 lbs.

Can it be Shih Tzu?  I have 6.
I would love to have a golden retreiver, but I can't carry a 150 lbs dog if he/she gets sick.  And I can't even stand the thought of me having to drag the poor thing on the ground to get it to the car to the vet.

Cali, your sheeps and your dog are sooooo cute...

Well if your Golden weighs 150lbs, you're spending too much on food.

Our large male had topped out at 93 pounds until we got him a sister, now he's  a mean mean 71 and she's about 60.   They are no problem for me to pick up and throw into the back of the truck, and I'm just a girl. . .

What if you have a petite-size-gene goldens and me and my luck will end up with the full-figure-gene golden?  :)

But if it's true, it's a win-win, saving money on puppy food AND labor.
*cheers* (to my future golden!)

My Dad had a Kuvaz when I was in high school. That was the most awesome dog! Scary smart and sneaky, creative, protective, loyal, fun and loving. Working dogs are cool!

Calibretto

Your right there Ali. I'm amazed at how smart and loyal this dog is already.  Very sneaky too even with those big ole puppy feet this thing can sneak right up on you.

Alizaren

The "sneaky" was the best part. This dog would plot and sneak around....steal stuff when we weren't looking. It was like she would think about it all day long and wait for her chance. She always gave it away though by doing the "tip toe" thing. Dead giveaway that she was up to no good. You'd catch her after she's just done something she shouldn't have and all you'd have to do is watch the "tip toe" action till she thought she was in the clear then whatever she took (matches, socks, toilet paper roll - that one we could see, a hard boiled egg, whatever...) would roll right out of her mouth.
