Just giving official advance notice that a Siege castle will be going under the hammer in the October auction. In fact the winner gets a choice of location in either Trinsic Swamp or Ice Island.

WOW!
That ought a be a chunk of gold pieces.

I have been contacted by several parties interested in bidding on this lot and a common theme seems to be lack of cash in hand and understandably not wanting to accumulate lots of gold for what, in most cases, will be a wasted effort. So to help people with their liquidity problems (perhaps I should apply to be Governor of the Bank of Sosaria), the following protocol will be in effect for the castle sale:

At the end of the auction, the winning bidder (unless they are able to purchase straight away) will be required to make an immediate down payment of 10m to the auction house. They will then be given up to two weeks to obtain the balance and complete the sale with the vendor. Failure to finalize the trade on time will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and the underbidder will then be invited to obtain the property by paying the balance owed. The down payment will be passed on to the vendor upon completion, or returned to the buyer if for any reason the sale does not go ahead through no fault of their own.

The above should allow more people to participate whilst providing a deterrent against bidding amounts that people cannot realistically hope to raise.

*shrugs* I don't know of any recent Siege castle sales but I would be surprised if it went for under 50m.
