Event: Virtue Patrol of the Active VvV Cities
Date and Time: THIS SUNDAY, May 31st 3:30pm Est - 5:00pm Est

A Kingdom Besieged

Dupre was frustrated. Britannia was relying completely on foreign armies to preserve its cities from the attacks of these Vice armies. Each time he called the Virtuous men and women of Britannia to arms, he summoned only a disgruntled barbaric mass of thugs and murderers who were as likely to help, as stab you in the back. He felt it was only the potential reward of successful mission that kept them from turning on him and wondered what would happen when the treasury ran dry and no rewards were left to be had.

Had all the Virtuous truly departed Britannia for foreign nations like Gilfane? Were there none left in Britannia who still fought for what was good and right? Or had years of mismanagement left him to lead an army of brutes and ruffians?

Even with the new governors working with Lord Blackthorn, Britannia seemed as disjointed as ever. Why weren't these elected officials of the people doing more for their towns, organizing militia's to fight off attacks, patrolling to keep citizens safe? Wasn't that how it was suppose to work!

Dupre slammed his fist down onto the table! He sat alone in the dark, pondering Britannia's problems, and wondered if perhaps it was he and Lord Blackthorn who were failing the citizens and not the other way around. Even if that were true, he could think of no solution that would fix the problems they faced.

Hours later still sitting in the dark, Dupre lit a candle, and picked up his pen and did the only thing he could, he began to write to his foreign allies for help.

"Dear Members of the White Council, Britannia seeks your assistance in patrolling the towns from the armies of Vice. My forces are under tremendous strain from the constant attacks and we ask your assistance in patrolling the towns...."

Out of Character Details:

The previous events were run the as fun free for all rp pvp events. Looting was discouraged but there were no rule against it. Come have fun, wear what you can afford to lose, etc.

The events went well, for a few weeks however the last two ended in the first or second town with most people very unhappy. There is no way around it, things are to hard to acquire and replace in today's game and heavy looting will end events prematurely and possibily permanently unless I make some changes. So this week I will try a new approach....

First hour of event from 3:30-4:30 will be no loot rounds. If your guild can't agree NOT to LOOT, then please wait to join for the last half an hour as 4:30-5:00 will shift to a no holds barred VvV do what you feel you need to do event.

The announcement will be made in General Chat when the loot rounds begin and will take place during the first active VvV city after 4:30 [never mid battle].

The reason for the hybrid event is to allow people to have fun pvping and participating in RP VvV without harsh deaths, looting etc that will keep people away and kill the events from occurring. The second part of the event is for those who want to put everything on the line, winner takes all, high risk, high reward scenario.

To help people participate and figure out which side is which I created a list of active VvV guilds and listed them as Virtue, Vice, Neutral or Betrayers.

The others are pretty self explanatory but Betrayers are individuals or guilds who have shown they are more interested in undermining the events then participating. If a Betrayer shows up to the first part of the event, Vice vs Virtue hostilities come to a halt and both sides remove the Betrayer to prevent anyone participating from getting griefed. When the Betrayers are removed from the field the Virtue vs Vice battle can continue.

Betrayers are not welcome to the first part of the event but can attend the no holds barred second part. At that time they are welcome to work with or fight anyone they desire. Being a Betrayer isn't a lifetime ban and I hope to work with anyone on that list to get them back to good standing within the community so they can participate in the full event.

PS: Groups that come and start looting during the no loot phase will subsequently be added to the Betrayers group.
