A simpler (I hope) explanation of how to use the new Account Management

Okay, I have figured this arcane website out.  Below are the steps.  If, at any point, it does *not* work for you, then just log out and try it again tomorrow (in case they are still migrating information over):

Go to https://accounts.eamythic.com/
--- (a)  Sign in using the EA Account boxes.
---       (1) Use the email account that they have for your account(s).  If you have used more than one email for your accounts, figure out which one you want to use.
---       (2) Use the password you had with EA.  If you can’t remember it, you can have them send it to you.  They seem to have fixed the bug where it was emailing you in Chinese.

Once you have been signed in, go to the LINK ACCOUNTS tab.
--- (a) For the “Mythic Master Account Name” type in your UO account login name (that you use to get into the game) *but* you must add “_uo” onto the end of it â€" example:  Fred_uo
--- (b) For the password type in your usual “get into the game” password.
--- (c) click CONTINUE
--- (d) this will take you to a new screen.  Click CONFIRM.  (If you do not do this, it will not add the account.)
--- (e) Rinse and repeat for each UO account you have.

Once you have finished this, log out and then log back in.  The accounts you have just “linked” should show up in the drop down box at the top.  (It might do this without logging out, but I logged out just as a precaution to make certain it “took.”)
--- (a) Click on the first _uo account in the drop down box.  It should now show up on the SUBSCRIPTIONS page â€" below the Activate a Key, etc. buttons.
--- (b) At this point, there will only be two buttons beneath your account info â€" “Change Password” and “Activate Key”
--- (c) Click “SET DESCRIPTION” (which is up on the right at the top)  â€" then click your browsers Refresh/Reload button. (If you do not hit the Refresh button, you will not be able to add your credit card info.)
--- (d) Now you should see two additional buttons at the bottom â€" Update Renewal and Subscribe.
--- (e) Click the SUBSCRIBE button.  This will take you to a screen where you can choose how often you pay, etc., and enter your Credit Card information.
--- (f) Give them the info needed and click the CONFIRM button.

Do this for each of your accounts.
The good news is that if you use the same credit card info for all of your accounts, you will not need to re-enter the information for each account.
After this, you will get a mess of emails saying that you have 'subscribed' etc.  It may *look* like they have just charged your credit card, BUT THEY HAVE NOT.  (At least not that I can tell - they will only send a "ping" $1 charge to your card - which they will not actually take out, so don't worry, you will never see this.  I can see these things because I use a PayPal card where I can see the "behind the scenes" stuff that goes on eith the card.)

So, there ya go!  Clear as mud?  (Hopefully more clear than what they have on UHall.)

I presume that eventually they will discontinue accounts for lack of billing information (i.e. those emails they have been mistakenly sending out will become real emails.)

But I would not think that would happen for a few weeks.

I suspect that once they really have everything moved over, they will start harping at us to get our info in.  Which is why I wanted to get it out of the way.  Now, I've gotten it done and over with.

Thank you for this helpful information. I took care of my accounts today, hopefully I did it right. They sure made things into a confusing mess.
Everything is better when you are wearing purple shoes.

Rothen

Hmm, they're still letting people wearing purple play this game?  Guess I should be a shoe in then.  :D

Blind Otto

Huh. Lovely. Thank you for the detailed explanation - without it, I was gradually reaching the point of no return, insanity-wise.
However, over the years, I've accumulated a lot of accounts. Some mine, some left in trust by long-gone friends.
I stupidly linked them all to the same account, just in case I ever wanted to reactivate any of them, only to find that I can only pay for the first ten in the list.
Lovely.
Any suggestions as to how to get around this limitation? I tried support, but they seem to believe that the only game anyone is playing is Warhammer. I got lots of useful tips on how to log into Warhammer. Friendly bunch.  :o

It is easier than you might think.  Just make up another email address and link the other accounts to that different email.  Most email programs give you the ability to create another email address.  (I shudder to think how many I actually have.)

I believe that you will also be able to use the same credit card as you did on the other email, but you will need to re-enter the info for the card again.

I know that Fingers has dealt with this, so if you have problems with it shout out to him in-game.

You'll get through it!  :)

Well I did NOT migrate any of my accts. yet. I was thinking to try to navigate that mess they made for us
like this coming week. I knew from my prior cc. bill, that my 4th acct. paid in mid June billed due July 1 or so, would be due to be rebilled mid to late Sept. and the other 3 paid in mid july soon will be ready to be rebilled too, early Oct. or so.

So yesterday, Sept. 24 I get my cc. bill for Sept.  I tore open that mail open, fast,
just to see if MAYBE...I was billed anyhow, for that 4th acct. or not !
Cuz like I said I was pretty sure the 4th acct. is due up to renew [the usual 3 mo. stint] and I hadn't migrated yet. I keep loggin on that acct. FIRST, figurin if they shut it off , TIME TO TRY migration, and hopefully get it to work for that 4th acct. ie figure it all out, before the main 3 are due all at once soon.

Lo and behold my cc. bill that arrived yesterday
showed Electronic Arts $34.99 billed on my new Sept. cc. bill.
I dunnnnnnnnno
I is confuseth, and how did they DO that when, I did not yet MIGRATE, any of my accts yet ?

I venture to guess what ever they doing or not doing, sorta explains how some folks got maybe dbl billed.
Cuz on my one acct. unmigrated, they billed me anyhow,  so when I DO migrate it,
like tryiin it this week, I will be billed again for 3 more mos.
on that acct. probably.
