Stratics Homes & Castles Gilfane Town Spotlight

Hello All,

I'm the Homes and Castles reporter on Stratics. When I was appointed back in the fall I started a Town Spotlight segment. Petra and Kelmo suggested Gilfane to me, I did come and see a few of the homes when they were in Malas but never had a chance to get in contact with anyone.
Tonight I was lucky enough to meet Sara, she gave me a very nice tour of some Gilfane homes and other Siege locations.

I would really love to do a multiple post spotlight on your town if you'll have me.
Tonight I also was informed you have no shard reporter, So I thought that maybe I could combine my usual town pictorial with some interviews and history of your town/guild to also be posted on the Siege Stratics forum.

I understand if some of you would prefer to keep your homes private and to yourselves.
Any player that would like their home to be included in the town spotlight can contact me and let me know.
If your home is public, I can go on my own and do the panoramic screen shots.
If your home is set to private, I would ask that you grant me access for 24 hours so that I have some time to screen shot your home and make sure the screen shots are good enough to post.
If you'd prefer to be around when I do the screen shots (I completely understand), we can work that out too.

I'd love to speak to any and all of you that are willing to be part of this, I would like to make this as in depth as possible. Have any stories of how you first came to Siege or how you became part of Gilfane? A favorite decorative item you own, or would love to have? A favorite deco trick?
I normally only cover the deco aspect of towns, this will be the first time I cover both the history, people, and deco.

Thank you for coming to Gilfane last night. And thanks also to Kelmo for sending you.  I hope you had a good peek at whats over here on Siege.   We have some very talented players here.   You would make a fine addition to the shard.

I really can see that I'd enjoy the community here, So I look forward to working with some of you on future stories.
I've been told you do have a shard reporter but they're away at the moment so I can fill in a bit, which I can't tell you how happy that makes me.
Siege has this reputation for being the 'scary' shard but I felt so welcomed last night. I def would like to attempt to change the perception a bit for outsiders.

Miranda, I hope you liked the post I did on Ches then, although hopefully the posts I do for this town will be much better. I was very new when I did kijustu-anei, and hopefully have grown a bit since then.

Hoffs has given me contact info, and I have Saras info.. I'll be starting to put together a better idea of exactly what I'm going to do or really would like to do. I'll post the basics of it on here when I have a better plan down so that anyone that would like to add in a story or answer a few questions can step forward. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Welcome. We do have shard reporters, but the demands on their time are great. They do an amazing job, but all look forward to the day when someone invents a spell to double - or triple - the hours in the day. I've been trying to find someone to take over the News Manager role from me for about 4 years now, to no avail! But any coverage from anyone who has the time and skill, is most welcome!

(Ye can see the strain on time by the time it took to reply to your post!)

On a slightly related topic, I won't be around much this week - the usual workload, plus a 12-year old son who needs a trip to hospital to sort out a badly banged-up toe. Should be fun... he can be heard howling 20 miles away if you so much as show him a needle, and now they want to do minor surgery on his toe? Anyone got any earplugs?

Are you just looking at GIL's house? or do you want to see a MYTH house in Termur?  "Hill Billy Heaven"  Might change the name to "Hill Billy Creek." Don't know yet.  It's an illusion house.  My trick is lots of caffine.
