welp  the mri came back and here is what it said.   l1-l2 is normal   l2 l3 shows minimal diffuse bulging disc and minimal facet arthrosis
l3 l4 shows mild facet arthrosis and minimal fiffuse bulging disc.  l4 l5 shows a mild bilging disc and moderate facet arthrosis and both foramina are mildly narrowed by these changes    l5 s1 shows a moderate diffuse bulging disc and a focal left paracentral and lateral recess disc protrusion moderately compressing the thecal sac and extruded inferiorly about 1.5 cm.  There is mild to moderate facet arthrosis as well.  The right foramen is mildly narrowed. The left foramen is moderately narrowed by combination of the disc and facet arthrosis.     I have an appt with a orthoaedics surgeon on Aug 10 so it wil be another 3 weeks before I really find out what will be happening then.  So thats the problem and now waiting on the cure.   The Dr did give me more pain pills but tylenal works for the milder stuff.     He said also this had been coming along for a long time so its nothing I had done lately.

Sounds familiar,  good luck with the ortho, at least they seem to be getting you in pretty quickly.  They are sending you to an ortho instead of a neuro?

Yep ortho surgeon.   we will see what goes on from there.   Im still in a posotive mood and can still laugh so  its a big help. 

When I had the cancer I had been reading one of the Harry Potters.   Book 5 I believe.   Hagrid was talking to the kids.    "No good sittin and worryin' abou'it.   Whats comin' will com an' we'll meet it when it does.    I have it hanging on my wall above my calendar.    It works for me.

  Good for you.  Gentle giants, (Hagrid), are one of my fav personalities as well.  My mother-in-law had a favorite saying that my wife and I both like.  "This too soon shall end"  That's prob biblical, not sure.  But helps when you are going thru something difficult.  The only problem with that saying is that it is double edged, the good times pass quickly too.    It seems, actually, the greyer I get the faster the days pass, hehe.  The time we spend in game and on these forums will always be some of the best, or we wouldn't be here.

So I went to dr today.  I have a ruptured disk in my lower back which has been causing me all the problems.  I go back in 2 weeks to plan a date for surgery.  He will remove the ruptured part of the disk and put a cage with some of my bone marrow and other bonding stuff and it will grow together.   Ill be in the hospital about 3 days or so but will be up and walking much better after the operation.  Ill let all of you know when I will go in.    Thats it for now.

While the prospect of surgery looming on the horizon is unpleasant at best, the knowledge that it will correct the problem and as you recover you will be feeling better than before is good to look forward to. Des plans to brew up plenty of rotworm stew for you; she says it will give you strength. Just don't smell it before you eat.

Hil everyone.  The date set for the surgery is going to be Sept 16.  Ill be in the hosp about 3 days then home again to getting better.

No laptop here.   I can just see my hubby dragging my comp into the hospital so I can still play.
