Hello everyone :)

I've recently returned to UO and have always wanted to give Siege a better shot - my problems in the past were mainly over my time zone. I'm from the UK (name gives it away right ;0 ) and I work very long hours right now. I was just wondering if any of your members are from the UK (or a GMT time zone) or what times you play roughly so I can work it out if i'm around.

I'm looking for a Community to become a part of, in the past ive often gone it alone or tried to play with people who simply dont log in when I do which can quickly put you off of a shard. I've previously played a thief on Siege (and a PvPer on Prodo) but this was many years ago, I currently work in the Games Industry and im much more interested in building/being part of a community and thus have been working on a standard stealth mage to get me back into the swing of things :)

So yeah, just a question in relation to playing times :)

Nathema

I'm from the UK too, but my playtimes are not very typical. I play for an hour or two in the early afternoon, 1pm-2.30pm roughly, and then again at night, starting between 10pm and 11pm. (All times are UK times.)

Since I don't work I can afford to stay playing late, up to 3am if something fun is happening! :D

Vortex

We have quite a few members from the UK and the Netherlands. We have some members whose primary language is not English.

There is almost always someone online. We have one group that hunts while I'm still asleep in bed and another that hunts when those same people are seeking their beds.

If you come back to give us a try call out for Shalimar.   Shes in the UK and runs the guild NEW.   Im pretty sure she will give you the help you need to get started again,  with the new guild chat and shard wide chat you will meet many people.  For the shard chat use the , then type what you want.    Good luck and I hope to see you around.

Welcome and do take Sara's advice (the elf is right in this) to contact Shalimar and get in with NEW. From there you will get to know the guilds and the unique culture of Siege. The shard is less populated than many prodo shards but the population is diverse. There are also guilds suited to every character from assasin/thief to chivalrous paladin. And of course crafters and merchants are always welcome.

Crow

I would think Siege has the best diversity of people and time zones.  6-8 pm eastern standard is probably the most populated, but you could say that about any north american based shard.

With Siege especially these days, you kinda have to be prepaired to do some solo work from time to time, or take upon yourself some initiative and make stuff happen.  But when it does, it is so worth it  :)

My play time is signifigantly less then it used to be.  Work has been kicking my ass lately, and the family thing is pretty new to me...trying not to screw it up.  I can maybe sneak in an hour or two during the week, between the hours of 6 and 10 pm pacific time.  Weekends can depend on a few things, but I can usually find a good couple hours of spawn time on Sunday.

My advice for you, if you do need help getting started, NEW is a good way to go.  But if you are somewhat developed and at least have a basic understanding of the differences with Siege, go ahead and apply here.

Hey guys,

I've had a wee think and while I do believe I know the game rather well, I actually don't know anything about the SA expansion/update. Furthermore I don't really know anyone on Siege, I think i'll give NEW a shot for now, at least this way I can brush up on the basics and get to know everyone before applying here :)

Really appreciate the posts :)

Give me a yell (repeatedly) both here and on stratics and I will hop in game with you.
