Marvin invited Jenny and I into the guild yesterday and directed us to this site so Im quickly posting to say hi 

Jenny is completely new to UO, and this char/account of mine is new also but I used to play on Siege back in 2003-2004, we both renounced young player status straight away to come to Siege, last few years the 2 of us played WoW PvP, but found the gear-grind and the cookie-cutter characters a bit boring, I started to miss UO, well... Siege, not the Trammel shards.

Im quite glad to be back and intend to stay, not sure how Jenny feels as this a bit hard for her to get used to compared to WoW, plus she got rez killed on our first day by a red and didnt understand what "counts" are and why the red was demanding it, since then we been gradually skilling up on brigands etc but we are still in the 50s.

Paivi Erno of NEW is my RL girlfriend and she is in the same shoes as Jenny regarding UO experience except Paivi's gaming experience is limited to Rock Band and kicking my butt in SoulCalibur.

I played on Europa, Im British so that one and Drach had best ping.

Played Europa for I guess over a year and GMed a few, but I got a bit sick of the spawn camping, the thing I got most sick of was peace-tamers, I mean whats with that?, you have a massive dragon to fight for you, but thats not enough???, you have to spam peace the thing your dragon is fighting incase *shock horror* it might fight back, Im sorry but these people may as well just write to OSI and state they own a peace tamer, and OSI can give them free gold, that way players who actually want some small challenge wont have to hear that constant music spam and watch the tamer sit there not even having to heal the pet thats killing a static mob that doesnt even fight back, where is the challenge in that?

OK bit of a rant, I had a mage tamer so Im not anti tamer, my first char on siege was a warrior tamer, I just figure that there should be at least some challenge, Id be lead taming a nightmare or dragon and a peace tamer would show up and start peacing it, and when I asked them to please not do that, they would agro the thing I was taming or attack it to grief me.

I have never seen a peace-tamer on Siege

It kinda amazed me on Siege that the place was full of people who also preferred things to have a bit of a challenge, the blues in general were friendly, the reds would kill you but for most of them it was loot the money then rez you, had one even go to great lengths to make sure my horse wasnt killed by the mobs nearby before rezzing me.
