Hail Siege Perilous,
I am newly arrived on your shores, having traveled from the shard of Sonoma to join my long time friend Natalia.  I have heard tales of a most noble and virtuous group named Gilfane.  I welcome the opportunity to test my mettle on this most dangerous of shards and do hope that in time the Guild will find me worthy to join thy rank and file.  I intend to wield magics and serenade my way into the life and adventures that feed the lore of S.P. I shall continue to hone my newly acquired talents and eagerly await the chance to meet the many fine folk of which Natalia has spoken so highly.  She is one in whom I would entrust my own dear children and never fear that she have my back or I hers in any happenstance. May you all always find shade and water.
Sincerely
Chalnoth Tholl

Hoffs

Hail and well met, Chalnoth. Natalia has told me many good things about you and in my totally unbiased opinion bard and mage are the two most noble professions that anyone can possibly have. I have sent out a pigeon in your direction and hope to meet you in person soon.

Hail Gilfane,
I humbly acknowledge your warm welcome. My Lady Hoffs I shall watch for your missive. Through the generous aide of my dear friend Natalia and her very accomplished acquaintance, a tailor/armorer of some note, whose name I do sorely apologize for misplacing...I must admit my recall relative to names has too oft been compared to that of a squirrel looking for his trove of summer nuts in the dead of winter..*sigh* I would like to blame the perils of advancing years, but as an elf of only 60 cycles I know that subterfuge would be quickly dismissed. At any rate, Natalia has helped me secure a temporary abode on the plains to the northeast of the Necromancer City.  I say temporary only in that while suitable for training, the arid plane and dark wood, touched by the necro, is not to me as restorative a climate as I would seek in the long term.  The quite cool under a forest canopy, with access to fresh or salt waters is more beneficial to my constitution.  But I am still most grateful for the shelter.  Natalia's most capable friend has provided me armor which is quite suitable to the training I have begun.  I have also started my studies of your parchments and scrolls.  I am awed recounting Gilfane's storied history, the grandeur of which makes oneself appear infinitesimal.  I shall endeavor to adhere to the tenants of decorum outlined by your scribes.  I have just now begun to delve into the histories of your great and noble Houses. Fascinating! I shall have to persuade Natalia to guide me on a tour of those Halls, so that I may gain the full measure of their pomp and circumstance. It is good to hear from old friends, Mansbeth you have been long from my eyes, but I see you still follow in the light.  Zardo, shall we make some new history in this land?  May you all find shade and water.
Humbly yours,
Chalnoth Tholl
