Pirate Roberts

Hello to all,

I'm new to playing on Siege full time, I've been playing here for years.  Mostly when the other servers I play on have been down.  I really have enjoyed the gain system over the years, and when the housing opened up, I took advantage of it.  Since placing my homes, (I have four accounts), I have fine tuned my characters.

I've been playing Ultima Online since September of 1998, and have characters named Pirate Roberts, and the guild Liberators of others Things (LooT) on many shards.  The guild was created when four letter abbreviations were first allowed and in honor of a guild that I was a fan of the webisodes.  I've tried my hand and pvp, spawning, soloing very large game, and after all of these years gold and other trinkets of pixelated shine have lost their luster.  I seek only adventure, and company.

In my real life I'm a Police Officer in the Central Florida Area.  I work Monday through Thursday from 9 am until 7 pm, and can be found on the game in most other times of the day and night.  If you are ever in the Central Florida area visiting Disney World, I can give you directions to the free parking lot, so my membership in the guild has a real world advantage.

Other than that, I look forward to meeting you all in game, and whatever adventure awaits us.

Rob

Welcome to the boards, I live in south florida, Naples. Look forward to meeting you in game, I have no set hours, I play when not working and am awake  :)

Welcome to the boards and the shard.   I have met you in game.  I am also in Florida,  the big city in the North East.

Ahah!  Most excellent.  There are many of us who take to the seas here for adventure.  Indeed, we have a Ship Registry so we don't accidentally blow... er, confis..., um, harm, a guild/alliance member's ship!

We've discovered that the other so-called pirate guilds on the shard are full o' blarney, but we had speculated that with a name like Pirate Roberts, you might be one to match us if we met on the high seas.  So we've been keepin' an eye out for ya, lol.

Welcome aboard!  Glad you found the folks who really appreciate the high seas!

Never on the field of Sosarian combat was so much dished out to so many by so few-Void Pool 7/19/14

Pirate Roberts

Just for a bit of Pirate history.  Bartholamew Roberts (aka Pirate Roberts) was very famous, as he looted more than 400 ships in his short career before being shot in the neck by Captain Ogle.  I began my career as a brigand and black heart in the world of Sosaria, pillaging many ships and picking over the bones of those destroyed by my hand.  While I do still carry the name of Dread, I do like the movie as well, I am not an evil doer any more.

I seek most of my adventure on solid ground now day, spending most of my time toiling over high level treasure maps.  If any of you seek my skill set as a lockpicker and treasure hunter I'm sure we will have great fun.  My mystic spells have come in handy in dispatching the spawn that pops up with the treasure chest, however the diabolically drawn maps do take a bit of time.  A group of adventurers would be most welcome in joining me on any and all maps that I unearth.

As my homage to this group, and if it serves, the loot that I bring forth from the ground is free for the taking.  I have a vendor located due north over the east umbra bridge, located very close to the umbra hub.

I currently have stocked several of the alacrity scrolls, so if you need it, just leave me a message or call for me in game, and it's yours.  If we have any nefarious characters that are in need of Forged Pardons, I pull them daily out of the rusty and dusty chests that I have found.

And if anyone wants to make a little coin, I'll gladly buy any and all treasure maps that you have to sell, name your price.

While it's been a spell since I've ventured into the salt sea, I will gladly join any adventurer who wishes my company.  I am an adept sailor and singer to boot.  I have three accounts here, and have a small city of my own started just over the east umbra bridge, along the mountain due north.  I have a crafter/imbuer and a sampire nearly worked out enough to benefit in hunting parties.

My main Pirate is:
120 Music
120 Discordance ( I love the title of The Dread Pirate Roberts Legendary Demoralizer)
115 Mysticism
115 Focus
100 Magery
100 Mediation which I switch out for (Cartography, Hiding, Lockpicking as needed)
and just a small amount of spellweaving for Gift of Life.

So if you are in need of the following:
Forged Pardons
Alacrities
A signed treasure map completed by ME (vanity)
Surge Shields
Tasty Treats
Runed Sashes
Mana Phasing Orbs
or you want some gold for your treasure maps.

Please let me know.
And remember this as the day that you escaped with your life after meeting "The Dread Pirate Roberts".

*begins to think*

If only we had a wheelbarrow, now that would be something.  And a holocaust robe.....

(In a deep voice) "The Dread Pirate Roberts is here for your soul!"

Welcome to the White Council!

Wee Willie

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not more competition for the T maps!!!!!!

Welcome aboard

Sir Morder

Sell me some mana orbs? I use just about all of them.

Pirate Roberts

Wee Willie, would that mean you are a cartographer?

If so, we should talk, I have found a perfect way to locate the maps without using the dreaded skill of mining... works every time.

I'd like to share template and tactics techniques with any cartographers around.

Silencer

I have carto, also doing maps without mining. I use disco and Energy vortexs for up to level 5's then switch out for my greater dragon for 6 and 7. If you want to talk map tactics I am always up for sharing tips and tricks.

andy the miner

i solo with mystic like you but no disco dont use minning to locate but some times struggle to find location all tips appreciated and welcome to guild

Andy, as my treasure hunter was finishing off his template, I began the dreaded journey of picking out my grandmastery of mining, one strike of the pickaxe after another.  As many of you know, this is a very strenuous journey, plagued with blisters on the palms of your pixelated hands, a sore back from all of the hours spent in your computer chair, and the occasional splinter.

As many of you long time Sosarians know,  to train up several miners, on multiple shards, you run the risk of spitting out more rock dust than most have collected in ore.  I am getting off point.

Right when I began the journey of mining, yet again, I looked to the stratics forum and under the tag of Treasure Hunting, there is a post about using Enhanced Client, and Pinco's UI.  Check out the post, and if you are like me, and play the classic client, it can be a bit of a challenge to set up.  I figured it out however, and am confident that you can too, I'll be glad to help if you need it.  It's the only way to go.
