I DO like new content every now and then, but Jesus.... it is now a never-ending saga with the game, heh.  I was able to get patched this am, though.  At least it wasn't another 400 megger.  And thanks for the manhug thingy...eventhough I can't imagine how that one would work.

If I'm not mistaken, Rothen is on satelite, as Branwyn is.  I think Satelite is even worse than dial up.

Depends on where one lives, and how stuck in their *old ways* one is.

I may only have 3 of 4 UO accts. atm still active, ie not shut down prematurely by EA,
but I will have ye know that with a WIN 7 with speedy wify or whatevers, and my WIN XP on dial up,
it took me 4 days of *disconnections* and microsoft trying to dwld at the same time UO was, that I finally got to tour Lord Blackthorn's new digs this morning ! Now that is DETERMINED ! I probably coulda downloaded this latest patch plus microsoft both in nanno seconds on my win 7...but die hard win xp lover of how UO looks on IT compared to my spiffy new laptop, I was determined...to dwld it all ON the pokier dial up on win xp and finally I got thru.  LOL I still have to do it on the win 7 yet.


But sometimes it is also someone's location too, that may determine their connection processes.
We do live on a border of 2 states, so back when dial up was all there was even then they were confused with us due to our location, are we Tenn or Miss. are we 901 area code or 662 ?
Our assorted telephones, are BOTH area codes, and when I was first conencted to UO even then we found issues back when every one was on dialup ...to where the provider tried to connect us to Miss. dial ups *all long distance or Memphis Tenn. which IS our phone local location...ie despite diff area codes we are non long dstance to Memphis Tenn. since it is 2 miles up the street from here. So at that time bellsouth now ATT connected us to 901 dial up set ups.

When they finally got speedier connections HERE, ie our laptops...and our main provider is stuck being ATT why they still do not know where to *locate* us... what STATE what county what city what actual base of humainty DO we belong to to bill us/provide service to us properly  ! There still be lots here on DIAL up simply cuz it is cheaper than the speedier, or ATT and verizon and the rest still do not know how to *label us* on the border here

Our cellphones have 2 area codes...662 for Miss and 901 for Memphis Tenn. WE are not as confused as our *providers* but that is the situation here on the boarders of the state of Miss and Tenn., burb of Memphis Tenn, not really connected to the state of Miss. except by border,,we are a suburb of Memphis Tenn. WE are a CONFUSED LOT AND IDENTITY here, they have not banned dial us cuz the assorted providers with diff state rules and laws do not know what to DO with any of us here lol

I have often lately compared UO patches galore to a 14 and a half year inner tube and we are in it swimming upon the speedy flow of a river on that same inner tube, worn 14 + yrs. old full of patches... wondering when will our life preserver inner tube full of patchs, deflate and we all drown in the UO oblivion.

I liked new content too, but sometimes all I see is that innertube on a fast paced river and we are going down stream on it and it is FULL OF PATCHES and here comes another and another patch on a very old inner tube called Ultima Online.
