Some have heard that I recently acquired a new kitten.  For those who are cat lovers, here is a link to photos:

His name is Jabari and the name of the older one (7 years old) is Pasht.  They are both Egyptian Maus, but Jabari does not have the proper 'show' markings.  (They are all supposed to have spots, not stripes, lol.)

Hmm, he reminds me somewhat of one of those gremlins. Have you been feeding him after midnight?

Too cute ! :)

Don't get me started on breeders that oft dump some AKC whatever purebred critters canine or feline that
do not meet the *standards* of their breed ! MEH !

That is how we got two doggies that we never planned on getting. :)
Our daughter was rescuing Shetland Sheep dogs that were thrown out
like garbage cuz something about them did not meet *the standard* with the breeders.

Then one day she had saved 7 of em, and the City of Evansville Indianna told her and her hubby,
ya 2 over the allowed limit, either ya need to get 2 adopted out or put down.

Soooooooooooo she calls us all in tears, and like 2 suckers, we drive all the way up there
and bring home 2 cute young male, Shelties. :)

That was when our beloved  pure choc. lab female died from bone cancer, never getting past 27 mos. of age, and while ALL our cats and dogs prior all lived to a ripe old age, Gypsy was cheated.
We swore we never would have pets again cuz losing em esp. young to bone cancer was too much to bear.
But at least she got some loving finally, in her short 27 mo. life [from us.]
She too was abandoned, like trash, when we got her.

So our Sheties, thrown out like non standard purebreds, became ours.
King had a tiny overbite and Knight was a tad too large for the breed.
The rest of them is 100%%+ looking, acting, behaving just like their breed, like the purebred shelties, should do and, which they, ARE.

We love em anyhow !! They even, HERD us ! lol

Well, the breeder of these maus is very professional.  The cats get raised in her house with a fully enclosed outside area for them to run, climb, and play in.  (Maus can jump 15 feet!)  These sorts of 'non-show' markings show up from time to time, and she always knows someone who would like a mau, but can't afford the full $800 price tag (like me right now!).  Jabari cost me $400 (blue light special!), and in the end, that came from two 'kitten gifts' - one from my boss and one from a girlfriend, of $200 each.

Not to mention I got to visit Sara Dale and Artful when I picked up the kitten because the breeder is in their home town!

#4
I mean now seriously would ya toss out a male macho lookin' sheltie critter like this, just cuz his bones are a tad too BIG for his breed ?
This is what our Knight looks like, exactly !!

or one that looked perfectly coifed male, just like this, but had a tiny overbite ?
This is what our King looks like, exactly !

They look like, behave like, yappy bark sing, just shelties to me !!

Of her 7 Shetland Sheepdogs, we took the two [that originally jumped into the pool, with our labrador], when they visited us with ALL 7 shelties, named after chess pieces, of the 7, only Knight and King,  remembered us best and being in our house as visitors, so not strangers to them if we adopted them,, whom also seemed comically brave or water loving enough, to think they [also, WERE] labrador 'retrievers'. LOL

WE had always had mostly labradors, for dogs. I think Knight jumps a whole 10ft nearly in the air to catch frisbees in our back yard, while the older, King, catches, the catcher, Knight. lol

Just like your kittenz,  pets mostly only need one main thing from owners, LOVE !

Miranda/QueenZen

Well we got ours for $0. Course they been costing us a fortune since, shots, checkups, doggie treats, etc. etc. over the yrs. :)

I think most of our pets over the years been throw aways which we got for nothing.

They just wanted loving ! We can give em that. :)

Miranda/QueenZen

hehe I think all my felines I ever had, did was meow, hiss, play, keep our canines in line, and one of em brung me dead birdies and mice as gifts, from the great out doors !
But they too were just, nothing fancy, rescue kittenz !

Is *that* why he runs so crazy at night!?   ;)
