the sound of  metal clashing..fire..wind..the bright light.. suddenly she was 12 again...her hands flew as she sliced cabbage for the spring rolls that would be served later in th evening..her and kasuga had worked for mr wong ever since mother had passed two summers ago..he took them in.. kasuga opend the door to the kitchen an heaved a sack full of more cabbage..so was life..good..clean.. outside they heard aproaching horses..the rhonans were back for the third tim thos season...kas was facinated with them..many times she had told her of his dreams of honor and retrobution to follow them in the arts..he put down his broom ad stood in the doorway..gazing mesmarized at the gleam of their katanas and yumi.. she rembered how last summer he had made his own bow..she shook her head. and went back to her work...suddenly she heard kasuga calling to her from outside..walking to the door she saw him sitting double with one of the riders.. its time he said to her..he noded..she knew this summer would eventualy come..
