Crafting Fukiya Darts...

There was some interest in some fukiya darts so I set about to craft some but I have a few questions:

1.  Do they need to be exceptionally crafted? I usually craft exceptional darts but there are a few that don't.

The following formulas are roughly the number of uses when crafted:
     Exceptional Uses = (Boards -1) * 2
     Normal Uses = Boards - 1

2.  How many uses are most useful? I used 50 boards the first time and crafted exceptional darts with 98 uses.  I would imagine that these will get looted the majority of times so I was wondering if this is any good in a Guild Wars situation or if a smaller number of uses is more practical.

3.  Rueggan said he could poison them (my nox is stoned off with no extra stone to get it back on) so I may not get that far in the process of crafting a finished product at least for the foreseeable future.  Can you even poison fukiya darts with 98 uses?
