So this is what I was doing last weekend. Sorry I didn't get these photos up earlier, but it took me a while to "dig out" from the convention. I drove over on Thursday, as did my convention roommates Beth and Gena. Beth had to perform Thursday night, so we were scrambling! Despite the size of the room (it was *huge*), there was a good crowd. She had performances every day and sold $1,200 worth of CDs.
Me, I just had one panel on Friday, but then I played "executive assistant" to my editor the rest of the weekend. It allowed me to sit in and participate in some very interesting business discussions and to make connections with a producer (as in 'movies') and a comics/graphics producer (as in graphic novels). The parade was Saturday. Oh, and Miriam (who you really cannot see in the photo, but you can clearly see the tank) is the Goth wife of author John Ringo and a friend.

eh eh. I understand. All things considered (like the bevy of "Furries" out there at DragonCon), I just try to hold my own at age 58.
