I have undertaken a fearsome quest. The perils that I will face are almost beyond speaking. If I return with body and soul intact (tis too late for the mind!) tis only by the good will of some great being. So, I shall be away for the whole week...
...helping to run a kids holiday club.
At least thirty 7-11 year olds, all hopped up on excessive amounts of sugar, all running amok, all expecting to be entertained.
And I volunteered.
So, to whoever that last alliance member is who has been spreading vile rumors about my sanity around, I say "ha!".
This should prove that I'm madder than Tigsalot ever was, once and for all!

A holiday club is very much like summer camp, except for the added bonus that we can send the little darlings home at the end of each day - i.e. no accommodation, no sleep-overs, no midnight raids (awwww!). All sorts of activities are planned from morning to late afternoon, and all the leaders crawl away at the end of the day wondering what possessed them to agree to such an insane venture, and wondering what excuse might sound plausible enough to avoid returning the next morning. :)
