for an archer what would you recommend?
both PVM and PVP

I think almost everyone will tell you to pick up Bushido if you haven't already.
ABC, I'm talking about 123.....(Archer Bushido Chiv)

top 3 in pvm builds, and very very good in pvp, just gotta give up your hiding. Though you could drop anat and 20 med and keep hiding but give up damage.
Bruin's is good. This is a pretty good one too if you dont want Bushido.

That's pretty much what Bruin is now. Works well for pvm, but not very good at pvp as I can't seem to do enough damage. Need high dex for the heal and archery so mana pool is low. Even with high med I never have enough med to chain special moves which is the only way to do damage nowadays without bushido. I'll eventually work up bushido when I'm not soo lazy.
Bushido is useful for the following reasons:
Perfection - grants 5% damage bonus increase for each successful hit, reduced by 5% for each miss, up to 100% bonus. So you really do a lot more damage on high end monsters. Also you get a free bonus of 1000 luck.
Confidence - basically allows you to heal on the run healing about 25 damage in 5 seconds.
Lightening Strike - Gives you automatic 45 HCI, and about a 25% chance to ignore a targets armour resists so you do a lot of damage (capped at 35 for pvp). It is also very cheap costing you only 5 mana so you can practically keep using this ability non-stop.

Good archer template, might lose resist thou. Since there are so few mages. Biggest problem with an archer template is gear. You want a real good balanced bow.
